We fell in love immediately!
Please tell us a little bit about yourselves and your rescue pets.
My name is Nijole, I have a family of four, my husband, Saulius, and my two children Emilija and Noah. My kids have always had an interest in adopting a pet, and this led to us searching for places where we could adopt cats, this is where we found KLAWS.

What made you decide to adopt?
Before we moved houses, we were not allowed to have cats, but there were always stray cats in our area, we always fed and took care of them, the cats were always welcome in our house. Once we moved houses, we knew that adopting cats would be ideal for all of us, as we all enjoy the company of cats too.
How did you find Mia and Molly?
We started to talk to our friends who had cats and had experience in owning them and they recommended to check out KLAWS page, we got a suggestion to adopt Mia and Molly, and we fell in love immediately!

What have been the highlights of your life with Mia and Molly?
Mia, as soon as we got her, she was always very playful and loved to play with toys, with the trend of “punch the monkey” – my daughter thought it would be a great idea to get a mini plush monkey for her. And she loves it; she brings it with her everywhere and sleeps with it too!

Molly, like Mia, was also very playful but she’s a little bit shy and it took a while for her to get out of her shell, but my son plays with nerf guns a lot and we have discovered that she really enjoys playing with nerf bullets!! Bullets are always scattered across the house because of her, and you will always find a bullet in every room you go to, that and she will bring bullets to you😊

Have you had any challenges with Mia and Molly and how did you overcome them?
As we brought them home, Molly was extremely shy and anxious at being exposed to a new area. For a couple days, she would always hide inside couches and run away if anyone she didn’t recognise entered the room. However, her sister Mia was much braver and encouraged her to face her fears. She would always lick Molly and meow to her, telling her that everything is okay, and after a week, Molly got more comfortable and began to stay out of the couches and not be as startled anymore.

If you had to describe Mia and Molly in three words, what would they be?
Loving, playful and adventurous
Do you have any advice for people currently adopting or thinking about adopting a pet?
My advice would be, if you need a buddy to speak to who can keep your secrets and wont judge you in any way, your pet would be ideal for this. Your pet is ideal for a good stress relief whether that would be for work, school or anything of the sorts!
