Please tell us a little bit about yourself and your rescue pets
My partner Tara and I live in Shannon, Co. Clare. We adopted Seoidín and Luan (formerly Edna & Arnie) from KLAWS in January. They were approximately 3 months when we adopted them, and they had a long drive home. But when they landed in Shannon, they were immediately full of mischief😊
What made you decide to adopt?
Our greyhound Judy had passed away a few months before adopting our new family members. I really wanted another pet as the house felt empty. Having done a lot of research, we decided that cats were a better fit for us. This research also helped us decide that two kittens were definitely better than one!
How did you find Luan and Seoidín?
I began following rescue pages and within a few weeks Seoidín
and Luan
were posted on the KLAWS page. I was so excited when I saw them and immediately sent the pictures to my partner and messaged the Facebook page.
What have been the highlights of your life with Luan and Seoidín?
The cats bring joy and laughter into our everyday lives. Arriving home and seeing them waiting on the windowsill, headbutts and purring in the morning, and crazy zoomies at any given time are highlights for us.
Luan loves cuddles and affection and Seoidín loves to be brushed and pampered.
If you had to describe Luan and Seoidín in just three words, what would they be?
Luan - cuddly, loving and playful; Seoidín - clever, regal and adventurous.
