DYLAN AND LOLA

'When she started to relax - it was a great feeling!'

Please tell us a little bit about yourself and your rescue pet. What made you decide to adopt?

My name is Dylan, and I have always had dogs. Until last October, I had a rescue collie Stevie, who was 17 years old when she passed away. And she made me both always want a rescue and always a collie.

How did you find Lola?

I found KLAWS (and Lola) through a friend of a friend.

What have been the highlights of your life with Lola?

I have only had Lola for 7 months, but when she started to relax – it was a great feeling! There’s still a way to go with other people but she’s improving every day.

Have you had to face any challenges with regards to bringing home and living with your rescue pets? If so, how have you overcome or coped with them?

Just be relaxed and the pet will relax over time.

If you had to describe Lola in just three words, what would they be?

Loving, fun, fast.

Do you have any advice for people who are thinking about adopting a rescue pet?

Always show them love, but the thing I find most important is being consistent.
