Please tell us a little bit about yourself and your rescue pets
Myself and my husband Michael have adopted two dogs from KLAWS - Robbie (blue merle) in January 2024, and Jake (tricolour) in July 2025. They are both collies, Robbie is now 5 and Jake is almost 3.
We also have a cat who was taken in as an orphaned feral kitten, but not from KLAWS, who is now 6 years old.
What made you decide to adopt?
My husband always had dogs growing up, and we knew we wanted to adopt one once we bought our home.
How did you find Robbie and Jake?
We followed the KLAWS social media. When we saw their faces on the KLAWS Instagram page we just couldn't resist!
What have been the highlights of your life with your rescue pets?
It's great to have them around the house, always up for a cuddle, play, or walk, and it's so nice to see them happy and playing with each other since we were able to offer them a home.
Do you have any advice for people who are thinking about adopting a rescue pet?
If you have the ability to, I definitely would. It's well worth it.
